we are commited to helping people climb when times are tough

In this cost of living crisis we recognise that for some people climbing is a luxury that they cannot afford. We are committed to supporting people to access climbing even as costs for the industry are rising. As such, we hold a limited number of Pay What You Can Memberships where members of the Brighton climbing community who would not otherwise be able to afford climbing can send in an application to receive a reduced rate or in extreme financial difficulty free memberships. Applications are reviewed by our welfare officer and are confidential. To help with your application supporting information including documentation of job seekers allowance will be helpful.

Our Approach

We want to support as many people as we can with this scheme but are limited by financial constraints. The scheme is an honour system where we only ask for documentation during the application process, from there we want beneficiaries to notify us if there financial circumstances change so that we can offer their reduced membership to new climbers in need. If you apply and we are unable to meet your needs we have a waitlist for pay what you can memberships.
